Hi Brian,
This issue has been a pain for me for a long while, typical designs I have to build, have to have gradients that can grow and or shrink with depending on the CMS output and such I have found drop down navigation the greatest problem when using background grads and filters.

I have tested the solutions above and z-index fix works well for ie9+ however, ie7 and ie8 still require the filter to be removed from the rule, and thus forcing me to fall back to a solid colour. Not ideal but at least its some progression, and its also nice to know im not the only one struggling with this.

Thanks

I did a bit of research and that option for the driver appears to be doing the same thing as a bulk insert. It caches the inserts and rewrites them into a single statement. I would expect that this would be much faster than individual inserts, faster than batch inserts, but slower than a single bulk insert statement from Java code.

I am working on writing data into MySQL, I used
String URL ="jdbc:mysql://localhost/database_name?rewriteBatchedStatements=true"

that is I added "?rewriteBatchedStatements=true" at the end, then the batch insert speeds up, and performs much faster than the individual insert.

Today there is tight competition between apple iphone and samsung android phones. If you come up with such comparison then it will be great.
plese do it if you got the time.

Thanks

Easiest, IMHO, is to use Thunderbird's compose window to create your signature, using the formatting tools and Insert options to manage the html for you. There is an option under <b>Insert|Image</b> to "Attach this image to the message" so you can choose to embed your pictures, or not.

<b>File|Save as|HTML</b>, then select the resultant file as your signature.

Or am I missing the point? Do the clientèle here prefer to do it the hard way? ;)

Hi Brian, thanks for interesting post. Can you please update the post with which database and jdbc driver version you used during the test? Because recently I found out that there are quite big differences in jdbc drivers where it comes to performance... thanks

The -server option tell's jedit to not close the jvm when you close the app. This keeps it running in the system tray. It avoids the jvm startup costs for future invocations. Not as necessary these days, but years ago was a huge help.
